Office Manager / Human Resources Coordinator

About Us

Alberta Hardwood Flooring is one of Western Canada's largest flooring contractors, serving residential builders, commercial contractors, and multifamily developers across Alberta. We're a family-owned company with a fast-paced environment, great people, and a reputation built over 40 years.

We're looking for an organized, confident Office Manager / HR Coordinator who can keep our office running smoothly while helping us recruit, onboard, and support our growing team.

What You'll Do

Office Management

  • Oversee daily office operations and administration
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and company events
  • Assist ownership and senior management with administrative tasks
  • Maintain organized company records and documentation

Human Resources

  • Recruit and onboard new employees
  • Coordinate interviews and employment offers
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation
  • Assist with performance reviews and employee development
  • Coordinate benefits administration and employee programs
  • Support health & safety initiatives
  • Help foster a positive workplace culture

General Administration

  • Assist with company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate training and orientation
  • Help manage company communications
  • Work closely with accounting, operations, and management teams
  • Handle confidential information professionally

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of office management, HR, or administrative experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with HR software is an asset
  • Payroll experience is considered an asset but not required
