Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Human Resources Co-op Student to join our team. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources management within a leading aerospace organization. You will support various HR functions, contribute to strategic initiatives, and develop valuable skills in talent acquisition, employee relations, and HRIS systems. Responsibilities

  • Assist with human capital management activities, including employee onboarding, orientation, and evaluation processes
  • Support talent acquisition efforts through sourcing candidates using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and assist with employee relations programs
  • Contribute to benefits administration tasks and maintain accurate HR data within HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM
  • Help coordinate training & development sessions and assist with performance management processes
  • Support change management projects by collecting data, preparing reports, and assisting with communication strategies
  • Contribute to compliance efforts related to employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Basic understanding of HR concepts such as talent management, workforce management, and employee relations
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems like Workday, UltiPro, or Paychex is preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools and social media platforms for recruitment purposes is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information professionally and ethically
  • Eagerness to learn about employment & labor law compliance, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives
