nutbar is a superfood cafe that puts the world’s most nutrient-rich, 100% organic foods in the spotlight. Our Store Manager is essential to the seamless operations of the cafe and our company as a whole. We are excited to find the right person who is interested in taking our business to the next level and growing with us.

Roles + Responsibilities

Front Line Service:

  • Model and deliver impeccable product and customer service working alongside your team
  • Overseeing day-to-day store operations while addressing customer inquiries
  • Maintain Fluency and knowledge of all nutbar menu, operations, policies, and procedures
  • Is the role model for the nutbar experience
  • Coordinate successful executions of catering orders and/or special request

Operational Excellence

  • Partner with Head of Operations to align vision through to store operations
  • Continually monitor, drive and maximize in-store retail sales performance
  • Manage store staff schedules to maximize efficiency and customer experience
  • Effectively manage inventory and oversee organized storage and inventory systems
  • Manage facility cleanliness and Health + Safety standards
  • Complete weekly and monthly reports (labor, expenses, sales, etc) and advise of changes, adjustments, and corrections
  • Actively maintain best practices and documentation
  • Ensure service schedules are completed on-time and not missed. Is first point of contact for routine maintenance + service
  • Identify and quickly resolve issues with processes, equipment and people
  • Continually and consistently deliver on food standards and actively execute food spot checks

Team Management

  • Develop and iterate store team hiring process, lead onboarding, training programs, and legal/governance requirement
  • Establish communication rhythm and format that allow people to give and receive feedback (regular check-ins, formal staff performance reviews)
  • Provide oversight, mentoring, direction and monitor execution of team as they evolve
  • Know and live the company values through inspirational leadership and leading by example

Leadership

  • Engage in mindful + meaningful conversations when they need to happen

What we are offering:

  • Highly competitive yearly salary + benefits after 1 year
  • Tip outs
  • Eligible for a quarterly performance bonus of up to 2.5% per quarter (up to 10% of annual salary per year) if targets are met.
  • Discount on food + drink, all inhouse and 3rd party retail items offered at cost
