Overview
We are seeking a part time dedicated and detail-oriented Experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave on Center , Airdrie . In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will be responsible for assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare professionals. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for healthcare and are eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately using Kroll.
- Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns both in person and via phone.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
- support the team with incoming phone calls and orders. ( English required )
Experience
- Min. 2 years Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience with Kroll necessary.
- experience in compounding is an asset.
- Blister packing experience is an asset.
