True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program, is hiring a Delivery Driver at our Dartmouth, NS facility.

The Role

We are searching for a Delivery Driver to work with our team in the Dartmouth, NS distribution facility. The facility processes a wide variety of fresh and frozen seafood products for retail and wholesale customers across Atlantic Canada in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fresh and frozen seafood products to retail and wholesale customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Load, unload, and transport seafood products while maintaining product quality and temperature requirements.
  • Plan and follow delivery routes to ensure efficient and on-time service.
  • Verify customer orders for accuracy prior to delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Collect signatures, process delivery documentation, and maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and transportation regulations when handling seafood products.
  • Safely lift, carry, and move boxes and products of varying weights.
  • Adhere to company safety policies, driving regulations, and commercial vehicle operating procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and delivery equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
  • Minimum two years delivery driving experience.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle with air brakes is desirable.
  • As per company policy, a criminal background check is required.
