Looking for PART/full time MOA.
Must have your MOA diploma or certification. EMR (AVA EMR) experience as asset but willing to train the right candidate. New Grads are welcome to apply.
Front Desk Tasks But Not Limited To:
- checking in patients at arrival time, verifying their telephone number etc
- calling patients in regards to abnormal results
- taking telephone messages for the physicians
- booking, confirming or cancelling and moving patient appointments if need be
- opening mail
- processing results and forwarding them to the physicians tasks
- using the point of sale machine and writing up an invoice for the patient
Secretary Desk Tasks But Not Limited To:
- transfer of records
- preparing third party requests (lawyers, insurance companies etc)
- scanning and processing mail
- collecting from the physicians outboxes and processing their requests
- following up on outstanding invoices from the third party companies
- answering and checking your voicemail
- dropping of the mail
Nurses Station But Not Limited To:
- putting patients into the examining rooms
- pregnancy, urinary tract infections and drug screening testing
- sending out abnormal cultures
- setting up pap smears, IUD's, circumcisions and excisions if needed
- eye exams, height and weight
- autoclaving
- stocking the rooms
Qualifications:
- Works well independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work depending upon importance
- Good working relationship with your colleagues, Physicians and Office Manager
- Friendly and kind towards patients
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Punctual and reliable
Education:
Must have your MOA diploma or certification. EMR (AVA Connect) experience as asset but willing to train the right candidate. New Grads are welcome to apply.
