Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support and patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar using electronic medical records systems.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective patient care.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
