Full job description

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties supporting the medical practice.
  • Book, schedule, reschedule, confirm, and communicate appointment details to patients, including dates, times, locations, and instructions.
  • Answer calls, return messages, and respond to patient inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Greet patients and support smooth, efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain an accurate daily schedule and up-to-date patient information in the EMR.
  • Accurately upload and file documents, reports, forms, correspondence, and referrals into the correct patient chart, ensuring proper identification and categorization.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when entering information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic records.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Keep the reception area and clinic area organized, clean, and welcoming.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is required
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software is required; general computer knowledge alone does not meet this requirement
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately upload, organize, and manage documents and referrals within an EMR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong accuracy, multitasking and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong ability to maintain patient and clinic confidentiality and privacy

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
