Full job description

Seeking an additional Medical Office Assistant- full time hours. Office is open most evenings and occasional Saturdays. Office hours are from 6:30 am to 9 pm. The selected candidate must be flexible and willing to work all available shifts, including evenings on a rotational basis. This is a very fast paced ophthalmology office and requires a quick learning, self directed, organized and motivated individual.

As a Medical Office Administrative Assistant, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Reporting to the Office Manager, your core responsibilities will include managing electronic medical records, handling front desk duties, and providing administrative support. Your medical office experience will be crucial in interacting with patients and managing multi-line phone systems effectively. Additionally, familiarity with premium skills such as Epic, Accuro and medical terminology will enhance your ability to contribute to our team. Join us in delivering exceptional patient care and support in a professional environment.

Job can begin immediately. Presently, the job is a 1 year contract, but anticipated changes may allow for this job to become permanent. This is not a summer job. Pay scale on an hourly basis is commensurate with experience. Please include hourly pay expectation with resume. Three references will be requested.

Qualifications

  • Proven medical office experience is desirable, but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems would be beneficial
  • Strong administrative and front desk skills
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Experience with Epic or Accuro software is advantageous
  • Background in medical/ophthalmology office settings is preferred
