At North West Veterinary Dermatology Services, we believe a rewarding career shouldn't come at the expense of your personal life. We offer a Monday-to-Friday schedule, no weekends, no statutory holidays, and no emergency or euthanasia cases—giving you the time and balance you deserve.

We are a thriving, privately owned veterinary dermatology practice with four locations and we are welcoming two new doctors to our Vancouver clinic and one new doctor to our St. Albert, AB clinic! At NWVDS you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients. To support our new doctors, we are seeking multiple staff to fill multiple roles, and join our collaborative and compassionate team.

We also require temporary help, for all positions in Vancouver, until our staff that are on maternity leave return to work. These can be casual or temporary shifts potentially until October.

Required Qualifications

  • Preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
  • Assisting with diagnostic and medical procedures
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Strong technical skills, including blood collection, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Providing client education and home-care instructions
  • Graduate of an accredited Animal Health or Veterinary Technology program
  • Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
  • Current registration as a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
  • Previous experience as an RVT is an asset, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply

Veterinary Assistants:

Required Qualifications

  • Preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Preparing laboratory samples
  • Assisting with diagnostic and medical procedures
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Providing client education and home-care instructions

Veterinary Receptionists:

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Compassionate and aptitude for making clients feel welcome and comfortable
  • Manages email correspondence including client and referral inquiries
  • Schedules, tracks, and follows-up on appointments
  • Processes payments, maintains cash register and balances day end
  • Multi-tasking while dealing with a high volume of phone calls, clients, and emails
  • Veterinary Office Assistant certificate or previous experience required, new grads are welcome

Pay: $20.00-$38.00 per hour
