Full job description

The Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene Inc. is committed to high-quality dental education and clinical practice and is looking for a clinical dentist to join our team.

The Clinical Dentist Instructor is responsible for supervising and supporting dental hygiene students in the clinical setting. This role involves ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care; upholding infection control standards; and providing feedback and guidance to students as they develop clinical competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in patient care during clinical sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support students in applying theory to clinical practice.
  • Conduct clinical evaluations including, but not limited to, hard tissue charting, occlusal assessments, radiographic interpretation to support student learning and patient care accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in clinical dentistry is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be licensed in good standing with the BCCOHP with one of the following Registration class:
  • Full Dentist Registrant Class
  • Limited (Academic) Registrant Class
  • Limited (Education & Volunteer) Registrant Class

Schedule:

Part time Thursday: 8:15-5:30 Saturday: 8:15-12:15
