Full job description

Student Health and Wellness Advisor (Part-Time)

We are seeking a Student Health and Wellness Advisor to support students' physical health, emotional well-being, and successful adjustment to college life.

This is a non-clinical advisory and referral position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide students with general wellness information and guidance.
  • Help students access appropriate healthcare, counselling, and community services.
  • Support students experiencing academic stress or adjustment challenges.
  • Explain available health insurance information and related resources.
  • Organize wellness workshops, awareness campaigns, and student activities.
  • Maintain confidential student support records.
  • Coordinate with student services and academic departments.
  • Refer students to qualified professionals when specialized assistance is required.
  • Support student orientation and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Psychology, Social Services, Student Affairs, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting students or individuals in a health, wellness, education, or community services setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community health and wellness resources.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Experience supporting international students or multicultural communities is an asset.

Working Conditions

Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, primarily campus-based.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
