Outside Sales Representative
Territory: Manitoba & Saskatchewan
$80K-$90K Base + Bonus | OTE $100K-$120K | Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client, a well-established Canadian company in the tools and equipment industry, is looking for a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of an established and successful territory across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

This is not a territory that needs to be built from scratch. You will inherit a strong existing book of business and established customer relationships, while having the opportunity to grow market share, increase brand visibility, and develop new business throughout both provinces.

The company has an ambitious objective: to become one of the top three brands in Canada within its category. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this person will play an important role in helping achieve that growth across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with distributors, specialty retailers and key accounts throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The focus will be on protecting and developing the existing business while identifying opportunities to increase product penetration, expand market share and strengthen the company's presence across the territory.

This is a highly relationship-driven, field-based sales role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, understands distribution, and knows how to turn strong partnerships into sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow an established book of business across Manitoba and Saskatchewan
  • Develop strong relationships with distributors, specialty stores and key accounts
  • Identify new business opportunities while maximizing growth within existing accounts
  • Increase brand visibility, product penetration and market share throughout the territory
  • Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations and sales meetings
  • Work closely with distribution partners to identify opportunities and drive sell-through
  • Support new product launches, promotions and strategic sales initiatives
  • Develop territory plans and execute strategies aligned with national sales objectives
  • Monitor competitive activity, customer needs and market opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and the broader Canadian sales team
  • Travel regularly throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan to maintain a strong presence in the market
Profile We're Looking For
  • Proven outside sales experience, ideally within tools, building materials, hardware, industrial products or a related category
  • Experience within the tools industry is considered a strong asset, particularly with knowledge of distribution and specialty retail channels
  • Strong experience working through distribution and specialty retail
  • A confident, dynamic and engaging personality who is comfortable building relationships at all levels
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities within an existing customer base
  • A genuine team player who enjoys collaborating and contributing to broader company objectives
  • Self-motivated, organized and comfortable managing a large geographic territory independently
  • Competitive and results-driven without sacrificing long-term customer relationships
  • Based ideally in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, with the ability to travel regularly throughout both provinces
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $80,000-$90,000, depending on experience
  • Bonus program - expected total compensation approximately $100,000-$120,000
  • Car allowance
  • Comprehensive benefits
  • Established territory with a strong existing book of business
  • Opportunity to join a Canadian company with significant growth ambitions and play a direct role in expanding its market share across the Prairies
If you are a strong relationship builder who understands distribution, enjoys being in the field and wants the opportunity to take an already successful territory and make it even stronger, this could be an excellent next step.
