Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team!


Location:
Abbotsford, but must be willing to travel on occasion to our sister site in Chilliwack.


Would you like to be part of an exciting, rapidly growing medical clinic? Do you thrive in a busy, dynamic environment?

FVCL is a leading ophthalmology clinic specializing in eye disease and surgeries using advanced technology. Our nationally recognized team of ophthalmologists has extensive clinical experience in a wide range of ocular services, including MSP-covered exams and surgeries, as well as private lens surgeries and LASIK.

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic clinic and surgical centre!

Key Duties:

  • Greeting patients in person, over the phone, and via email in a professional and informative manner
  • Billing, invoicing, and receiving payments
  • Booking and coordinating patient appointments
  • Providing attentive care and support to physicians and patients
  • Tracking patient lab results and scheduling follow-ups
  • Giving patients detailed instructions for lab tests
  • Using the Accuro EMR system
  • Working collaboratively with physicians and colleagues
  • Supporting the development and implementation of clinic systems and processes
  • Assisting physicians with their daily requirements

Ophthalmic Assistant Experience (an asset, but training provided for the right candidate):

  • Visual Fields
  • OCTs
  • Auto-refractions
  • Non-contact Tonometer
  • Doctor workups
  • Cataract measurements

If you don’t have direct experience, a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly on the job are essential.

Compensation: $19–$23 per hour
Location: Abbotsford, but must be willing to travel on occasion to our sister site in Chilliwack.
