Full job description

Device Support Specialist, Toronto, Canada

Field-Based | Full-Time | Exempt

Make a direct impact on patients. Enjoy Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 schedule.

Novocure’s mission is to extend the lives of people living with aggressive cancers. As a Device Support Specialist (DSS), you will collaborate directly with people receiving our therapy, providing education, practical support, and guidance on our medical devices.

This is an opportunity to use your healthcare or patient-facing experience outside of a hospital or shift-based environment. You will visit patients in their homes, build relationships, solve problems, and manage your own territory.

What you can expect

· $79,000-$107,000 base salary, depending on qualifications and experience

· Eligibility for an annual bonus

· Company cars provided, including fuel, insurance, and maintenance.

· Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

· No regular nights or weekends

· Medical benefits and 401(k) contribution

· Daily meal stipend when traveling

· Training, development, and opportunities to build a long-term career.

What you will do

· Visit patients primarily in their homes, with occasional clinic visits, to provide education and support on our therapy.

· Build relationships with patients and caregivers while providing compassionate, practical support.

· Explain information clearly, answer questions and help patients and caregivers understand their therapy.

· Troubleshoot medical equipment and help resolve issues.

· Manage your territory independently, including scheduling visits, planning your day, driving between appointments, and completing follow-up.

· Maintain accurate documentation and complete required training and administrative activities.

About you

We are looking for empathetic, confident, and driven healthcare professionals who combine a caring approach with the ability to work independently and achieve the best possible outcomes for the people they support.

You may have experience as a Medical Assistant, LPN/LVN, Clinical Educator, Care Coordinator, Home Health professional, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Device Support Specialist or in another patient-facing healthcare environment.

You will bring

· An associate’s degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

· Experience working directly with patients, caregivers or people receiving healthcare services.

· Effective communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

· The ability to explain information clearly and patiently.

· The ability to work independently, manage a territory and build strong relationships.

· A valid driver’s license and comfort with significant driving (approximately 60% travel).

· The ability to lift to 50 pounds.

Oncology experience is helpful, but the most important thing is your ability to connect with people, learn our therapy and provide confident, professional support.
