Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Reprocessing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and infection control. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.

Duties

  • Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and Manual wash and disinfect soiled instruments in accordance to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory management of sterile supplies and reprocessed instruments.
  • Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized following aseptic techniques.
  • Document processing activities accurately in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with storage, distribution, and tracking of sterile supplies throughout the facility.
  • Adhere to strict safety and infection control procedures to prevent contamination or cross-infection.
  • Assist circulator to prep and organized operating room before each procedure.
  • Ensure proper handing and processing of soiled and contaminated linens.

Skills

  • Knowledge of sterile processing procedures and aseptic techniques
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking supplies and equipment
  • Ability to operate sterilization equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with health standards and protocols
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • MDR: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • HSPA/CMDRT (preferred)
