Sterilization Assistant (Part-Time)

We are a friendly, patient-focused dental clinic looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Sterilization Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and infection control.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments according to infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for patient appointments.
  • Maintain the sterilization area in a clean, organized, and efficient manner.
  • Monitor sterilization equipment and maintain sterilization records as required.
  • Stock and organize dental supplies and inventory.
  • Assist the clinical team with other sterilization and support duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is an asset but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures is an asset.
