Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intake Assistant to join our team.

Medylex:

Providing Independent Medical Examination (IME) administrative and support services to physicians across Canada.

Currently looking for (i.e., Athletic therapists, kinesiologists, naturopaths, chiropractors, etc.) to join our team as a Medical Intake Assistant.

About the Role:

This role provides a unique opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a medical environment, working closely with medical specialists such as Physiatrists, Neurologists, Psychiatrists, General Practitioners, and Rheumatologists.

Your knowledge of orthopaedic and neurological testing, concussion protocol, treatment approaches, and various conditions will be directly utilized in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. You will gain exposure to complex and unique cases while working one-on-one with medical specialists. We also offer growth opportunities and career development for those looking to expand their experience in the healthcare field.

Location:

Ontario: Hamilton, St. Catharines, Mississauga, Oshawa, North York, Toronto, Vaughan, Barrie, Guelph, Ottawa, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical chart indexing
  • Assisting medical specialists as an IME assessment observer/chaperone, and scribe/note-taker
  • Transcribing physician dictations
  • Quality assurance review of medical reports and liaising with specialists

Work Environment:

  • 70% Remote: File review, organization, and transcription can be completed independently from home/office
  • 30% In-Person: Attending clinics to work directly with medical specialists

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible working hours
  • Part-time and full-time independent contractor positions available

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with medical specialists
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Must have a car or reliable transportation
  • At least one year of clinical experience working directly with physicians is preferred
