Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) is excited to invite applications for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Public Health.

Anticipated start date: January 1, 2027
Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Public Health or closely related field (ABD considered if defense is imminent) is required.
- Current certification with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI), or eligibility for certification, is required.
- Demonstrated or emerging excellence in university level teaching and a strong potential for research productivity is required.
- Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and research, especially in areas of community health, is required.
- Experience working with community partners, Indigenous communities, or applied public health settings considered an asset.

The first-year teaching assignment is 18 hours per academic year. In addition, the successful candidate must assume academic service duties and will be committed to growing the diversity of and building professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the broader community. Additional opportunities for teaching release for research purposes may follow when deemed available.

Closing Date: Application review will commence on Sept 1, 2027 and will continue until the position is filled. Please note that this position is subject to budgetary approval.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience as per Concordia’s Faculty Association Collective Agreement.

- A teaching portfolio, including a statement on teaching philosophy and teaching preferences;
- A research statement, including two (2) representative publications;
- Recent student evaluations of university teaching (if applicable); and
- A statement describing experience in activities that promote diversity and inclusion, broadly understood, and/or plans to make future contributions.
- Optional: a description of experience in managing delivery of psychological services, including the role and responsibilities, service population, complement of professional staff, and referral stakeholders.
