Full job description

I&B IBS Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team. Successful applicants will possess a positive attitude, good communication skills and a high level of initiative.

Position Available:

  • Title: Evening Housekeeper
  • Wage: $19/hr
  • Hours: Part-Time, 5:30pm start Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm start Friday (2.5 hours on the average, 3-4 days per week) Additionally, every third Saturday from 4pm-7pm is required with this position
  • Location: Third Line and Dundas St. W area, Oakville

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Sweeping/Mopping Floors
  • Vacuuming
  • Disinfecting Surfaces
  • Emptying/Removing Garbages
  • Operating Floor Scrubber Machines
  • Reception/Waiting area/Main Entrance – general upkeep
  • Kitchens – general upkeep, emptying dishwashers
  • Clean washrooms and replenish supplies 2-3 times per day dependent on times the center is open
  • Clean kitchens including wiping surfaces, sinks, and dry/wet mopping any spills on floors
  • Transport equipment from behind reception to facility location
  • Vacuuming/mopping front entry 2-3 times per day or as required
  • Disinfecting meeting room tables
  • Assist in heavy setups of rooms/desks
  • Receive incoming goods, returns, etc. from the shipping/receiving dock when the delivery driver calls
  • Delivery of packages to ordering departments
  • Reporting to shipping/receiving dock to meet shippers and hand over packages to be shipped
  • Tracking ordering department through Meditech if necessary
  • Meeting room setup/takedown

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Strong independence, ability to work alone and in a team setting.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Successful completion of I&B IBS Inc. Health & Safety Training Course (upon hire).
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with regard to lifting buckets, and furniture handling, etc.
  • Physically fit and able to bend, walk, stand, push, pull, twist, climb stairs, and to lift on average 50 lbs.
