119 questions about working at Home Depot Canada
Management needs to treat their employees with respect. for the past several months I've only been getting 8 hour closing shifts. Many of them being consecutive days. had to work 6-7 days straight more than a handful of times. they also like to ignore availabilities during the summer. on my schedule I asked for one guaranteed day off and a max of 25-30 hours, of course they then scheduled me for 40 hours and ignore my one requested day off.mangers are also not the friendless of people. i've tried to make a good impression of myself when first starting by saying "hello" or "hi" while walking in to start my shift, only to be flat out ignored by a number of them. Needless to say, I personally don't talk to the management team often unless its work related.lastly, they need to step out of the back office more often. there have been many shifts where managers are seemingly not present at all. don't expect much direction on what needs to be done on each day.

It all depends on the season and what departments you are trained for. If you're working in the summer or covering for other employees that are going on vacation, expect to get maximum hours every week. If it's the winter and/or you don't have much cross-department training, don't expect to get many hours at all.

Put on your ppe, clock in, get on your cash, ring in customers, call departments for prices because they're never on the items but also nobody is in their department and now you have a lineup so your manager comes over to yell at you and now the customer's yelling and now i'm yelling. And you go home and cry.
