Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Infant and Toddler Staff to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love of learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support diverse families. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
  • Document children's progress and behaviors through written reports and observations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and improve classroom practices
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, health guidelines, and licensing requirements
  • Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes

Qualifications

  • Valid Certification of IT, Valid First Aid and CPR (Child Care), Criminal Record Check Clearance
  • 2 years of experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stage
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong communication skills—verbal and written—are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
  • Organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and time management skills
  • Computer literacy including basic operation of computers for documentation and communication purposes
  • Certification or training in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
