Do you have experience in fraud risk management, law enforcement, investigations, or leadership in insurance claims? How about program implementation and oversight?
SGI is looking for a Fraud Specialist to support the Enterprise Fraud Program through fraud governance, risk management, quality assurance, analytics, and strategic fraud prevention initiatives. This role works with internal teams, SIU, law enforcement, vendors, and industry partners to help protect SGI, SGI CANADA, and honest policyholders from fraudulent activity.
We hope you consider applying if you:
- Bring a strong investigative mindset and enjoy using data, trends, and evidence to identify risks.
- Can balance strategic program thinking with practical operational support.
- Are comfortable working with complex files, multiple stakeholders, and sensitive information.
- Build strong, respectful relationships across teams, vendors, partners, and external agencies.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Are proactive, curious, and committed to continuous improvement in fraud prevention and detection.
- Want to leverage your leadership skills for good – like actively supporting SGI’s culture, expanding your own learning and supporting your colleagues as they do the same.
Typically, these skills are gained through a four-year degree in a relevant field of study such as Business or Justice Studies and at least 6 years of experience in fraud risk management, law enforcement, investigations, or leadership in insurance claims; supplemented with experience in program implementation and oversight.
We don’t want you to worry about checking every box. We know that imposter syndrome can get in the way, so please don't hesitate to apply. We'd love to hear from you!
