Full job description

Position Title: Robotics Lab Intern

About the Role

We are seeking motivated university students from robotics labs and engineering programs to join our Robotics Lab Internship. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced robotic platforms, including Unitree quadruped and humanoid robots. Interns will contribute to research, development, and testing of emerging robotics technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing robotic applications using the Unitree SDK and ROS/ROS2.

  • Support research and development of navigation, perception, and AI-driven robotic solutions.
  • Work with LiDAR, cameras, and sensor systems for environment mapping and vision-based detection.
  • Contribute to the implementation of SLAM, path planning, and object recognition algorithms.
  • Participate in robotics testing, prototyping, and system integration projects.
  • Document experimental results and collaborate with engineering and research teams.
  • Stay updated on emerging robotics technologies and contribute innovative ideas to ongoing projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Python and/or C++.
  • Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.
  • Understanding of robotics concepts including sensors, control systems, and autonomous navigation.
  • Interest in AI, computer vision, and robotic system development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a university robotics lab or research environment.
  • Exposure to computer vision tools such as OpenCV or deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Hands-on experience with LiDAR, cameras, or robotic platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
