Shylo Home Healthcare is currently looking for Registered BC Care Aide/Home Support Worker for casual, part-time or fulltime work. DAY SHIFTS, EVENING SHIFTS AND NIGHT SHIFTS available.

Who Should Apply?

· Nursing/LPN students currently enrolled in a nursing program

· Students in a Care Aide/Home Support Worker program

· Internationally-trained Nurses in Canada

· Registered BC Care Aide/Community Health Worker

· Experienced Caregivers/Home Support Workers

SHYLO HOME HEALTHCARE supports clients in their own homes – how great is that? In fact, we are local nurses caring for our neighbours in our own community since 1980.

WHERE are our clients located? Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver. Most clients still live in their own home, but many are already in Independent Living, Assisted Living or Long Term Care but need some extra support.

What roles are we currently hiring for? Registered Care Aides with relevant experience working with Seniors or people with disabilities (youth and/or adult).

What shifts are available? Part time Casual, Full Time Hours - you set your schedule

**Qualification for benefits after averaging just 20 hours per week for 3 consecutive months

We are looking for you! Ideally our candidates have:

  • Certificate in: Health Care Assistant, Home Support, or Community Health or equivalent experience with seniors and/or Home Support
  • BC Care Aide registry
  • First Aid with CPR-C certificate
  • TB Test
  • Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Sector (we can help you apply for this)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Personal Care (Showering, Bathing, Dressing and Toiletting...)
  • Meal Planning and Preparation
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Medication Management
  • Companionship
  • Lifts/Transfers
  • Dementia/Alzheimer's Care

Experience as a Personal Support Worker, Caregiver, Health Care Aide, Health Care Assistant, Nursing Student, Staff Nurse, Registered Nurse, Driving, LPN, Senior Care, Palliative Care, Dementia Care, Alzheimer's Care are all assets.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $24.15-$28.75 per hour
