As an operational support and customer service teammate you will learn hands-on and receive the guidance, mentoring, and support you need to be successful in your career at EMCO. The ideal candidate is someone that takes ownership of working in a warehouse environment for the first 3-6 months and focused on learning the foundation of our business. You need to be hard working, quick learner, great with people and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Although we are looking for a candidate that focuses and strives on operational efficiency, successful graduates of the program have continued their careers with EMCO in various positions such as Senior Account Managers, Technical Sales Specialists, Purchasers, Operations Managers and Profit Centre Managers!
Phase 1 -Warehouse Logistics
- Learn the products we sell, how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support.
Phase 2 - Counter Sales
- Get involved in our customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements and much more...
Phase 3 - Administration and Operational Support
- Learn about our accounts payable process, accounts receivable process, daily tendering and processing customer invoices, and introduction into purchasing and pricing.
Phase 4 - Operations Management
- Own the operational segment of the business with a focus on purchasing, pricing, training teammates, inventory management, and much more!
Qualifications
- College and/or University degree
- Customer Service/Customer facing interaction experience required
- Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
- Work well in a support and team based environment with minimal supervision
- Sales and/or Operations background and experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Desire to develop, learn and grow
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000
Salary Range is based on total compensation for a first year teammate in the Operational Support and Customer Service role. It is a combination of base salary plus profit sharing based on performance of the individual as well as the business.
