Full job description

Men In Kilts Calgary is looking for an experienced Operations to lead the day-to-day performance of our Calgary operation.

This isn't a desk-only management position, and it isn't a traditional sales manager position either.

We're looking for someone who can lead people, understand numbers, drive sales performance and make sure the operational side of a growing service business runs properly.

You'll oversee a team of field technicians while working closely with our estimators, trainers and administrative team. You'll be responsible for making sure we have the people, equipment, vehicles, sales activity and systems in place to hit our targets and take care of our customers.

What you'll own

  • Lead, coach and hold our field team accountable for performance, quality and productivity
  • Manage technician staffing, capacity and development
  • Lead our estimators and sales activity to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Review sales pipelines, outstanding quotes, close rates and follow-up activity
  • Help grow commercial, recurring and residential business
  • Ensure trucks, equipment and our Calgary shop are organized, maintained and ready
  • Monitor operational KPIs including revenue, labour capacity, productivity, customer issues and quality
  • Manage escalated customer situations and ensure issues are brought to resolution
  • Coordinate technician training and development with our training team
  • Oversee safety processes, inspections, incident follow-up and COR requirements

Who we're looking for

You don't need experience cleaning windows or wearing a kilt.

You do need experience managing people and taking ownership of results.

The right person will be comfortable moving between a leadership meeting, reviewing sales numbers, coaching an employee, dealing with a customer issue and walking through the shop to figure out why a truck or piece of equipment isn't ready for tomorrow.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has management experience in a service, trades, construction, field-service or similar environment
  • Has successfully led teams and managed employee performance
  • Understands sales and is comfortable holding salespeople accountable to targets
  • Is comfortable working with KPIs, budgets and revenue goals
  • Is organized and able to plan weeks and months ahead
  • Can make decisions without needing constant direction
  • Communicates clearly and handles difficult conversations professionally
  • Understands that good operations and good culture have to coexist
  • Is comfortable with technology and learning different business systems
  • Has a valid driver's licence

Experience managing a fleet, equipment, safety programs, commercial sales or a seasonal workforce would be a major asset.

We'd like to hear from you.

Pay: From $66,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
  • Store discount

Work Location: In person
