Main Duties:
  • The Evisceration Line Worker is responsible for identifying quality and pathological defects and for trimming parts, handling viscera, moving birds, and trussing
  • Position works in an assembly line-style processing environment doing repetitive work.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for coworkers, customers and producers.
  • Responsible for other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Alberta Class 1 Drivers’ License, with air brakes.
  • 20/20 vision and no colour blindness required for CPIP Certification.
  • High attention to detail and task focus.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Responsible for compliance to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Physical Effort: Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location. A regular need to stop or move/lift light material or equipment.

Physical Environment: Regular exposure to factors causing moderate discomfort. Slight possibility of accident or illness.
Sensory Attention: Occasional need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing to what is happening.
Mental Stress: Work and environment tend to be repetitious/ unchanging. Some pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. There could be some mildly unpleasant social contacts and/or some concern about possible unpleasant situations.
