Job Responsibilities:

Community Based Services:

  • Facilitate group programs for children, parents and families
  • Create welcoming, inclusive and engaging learning environments
  • Share information and model practical child development and parenting strategies
  • Support family engagement and connections to community resources
  • Assist with program preparation, outreach and community events
  • Complete required documentation and program statistics

Home Based Services:

  • Work alongside families in their homes to identify and achieve family-led goals
  • Support child and youth development, parenting and positive family relationships
  • Provide coaching, practical strategies and individualized family support
  • Help families connect with community resources and services
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other services supporting the family
  • Complete required service planning, documentation and statistics

Requirements:

Community Based Services:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Development, Family Support or related field
  • Experience facilitating groups and working with chilren and families is an asset
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and facilitation skills
  • Valid Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • High flexibility for evening and weekend programming

Home Based Services:

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Development, Child & Youth, Family Support or related field
  • Experience supporting children, youth and families is an asset
  • Strength-based, family-centred approach with strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle and ability to travel
  • Flexibility to regularly work evenings and weekends
