Position: CPAP Clinician

Status: Part-time Position / 20 - 30 Hrs per week / Monday – Friday

Start Date: Immediately

Experience: Customer Service Preferred

Organization Description:

MagGas Medical Inc. (MagGas) has been an established medical gas supplier since 1995, as well as a registered vendor with the Assistive Devices Program and Home Oxygen Program, providing home oxygen therapy and respiratory supplies (such as CPAP machines), medical gases (such as medical oxygen and nitrous oxide), cylinders, and cylinder maintenance to numerous medical services throughout Southern Ontario.

Job Description:

MagGas is looking for a dynamic person to join our office as a CPAP Clinician. The CPAP Clinician will be responsible for patient care, administrative of the office and support to staff, the right person will be able to handle customer service inquires and administrative tasks, will be well organized and flexibility, detail oriented and will enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse programs. The CPAP Clinician will also be responsible for CPAP setups on regular basis, on-the-job training will be provided.

The CPAP Clinician is often the first point of contact for clients, patients and suppliers and is a welcoming and professional face for the organization. All employment is conditional upon completing and obtaining a satisfactory background check, including educational, employment, references and other relevant verifications depending on the position. This position is open to applicants legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

· Clinical duties for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea and provide education on CPAP therapy treatment

· Provide patient instruction on the use and care of APAP, CPAP, BiPAP machines and accessories

· Communicate with sleep labs and sleep physicians in the process of fitting the correct equipment for the patient and to ensure compliance

· Identify treatment issues and implement appropriate solutions

· Create reports, download data, and adjust PAP pressure during regular check-up appointments

· Prepare all documentation with a high level of accuracy

· Build a positive and trustworthy relationship with patients

· Responsible for various reports and administrative duties within the clinic

· Exceptional client service skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through

· Strong teamwork skills

· Ability to work under as a part of a team under minimal of supervision

· Training will be provided to the right candidate

· Setting appointments for CPAP setups

· Follow-up calls with the CPAP patients

· Filling the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) applications

· Liaising with ODSP, OW, and insurance companies on behalf of our patients

· Ability to work independently and ability to protect patient confidentiality

· Administrative work

· Receiving orders and preparing orders

· Communicate with the Toronto office / staff on regular basis

· General bookkeeping (Quick Books)

· Inventory maintenance

· Dealing with correspondence, complains, queries

Qualifications:

· Customer service experience required

· Some experience with QuickBooks

· Post-secondary education preferred

· Problem solving skills

· Typing skills

· Proficient in the English language (Reading, writing, speaking)

· Organizational skills

· Previous experience in this field is not necessary but an asset

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

· Able to work independently and as well as within a team

· Computer literacy in Windows and Microsoft Office

· Demonstrates behaviors consistent with MagGas Medical Inc. values

· Must be available to work evenings

· Driver’s license and vehicle preferred
