Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe plays a vital role in supporting physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, providing valuable experience with medical documentation and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans during medical consultations.
  • Enter detailed information into electronic medical records efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Manage and organize patient charts to facilitate smooth clinical operations.
  • Support providers with administrative tasks related to patient care as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in hospital setting required, prior experience working in a medical office setting considered an asset; training will be provided for candidates with strong organizational skills and a keen interest in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable to ensure precise documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and workflows within a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in healthcare documentation and eager to contribute to quality patient care through accurate recordkeeping.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
