The Emergency Technician Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the Emergency and Contents team in both field and warehouse environments. This role provides hands-on supervision, direction, and support to Emergency Technicians, ensuring all emergency response, abatement, and restoration activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.

General Requirements

  • Maintain respectful, professional communication with employees, customers, adjusters, sub-trades, and partners.
  • Present a professional appearance at all times when representing the company.
  • Remain available according to the on-call schedule, as emergency response work requires flexible hours.
  • During a CAT (catastrophic event), follow assigned directions while continuing regular duties to the best of your ability.
  • Provide follow-up reports on both regular and CAT-related tasks.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and systems, demonstrating leadership by example.
  • Represent the company positively to employees, clients, and the community.
  • Maintain and enhance computer and program-specific skills through company-provided training.
  • Build and maintain trust with adjusters and clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Identify new business opportunities and promote referrals.
  • Respond promptly to concerns, providing accurate and timely solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Promote the company’s services within the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President or their delegate.

Health & Safety

  • Comply with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Take reasonable precautions to protect yourself and others from workplace hazards.
  • Recommend improvements to workplace safety and report hazards immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health & safety standards.
  • Enforce company safety training and reporting requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean work areas at all times.

Job Specific Duties

  • Co-ordinate job activities, monitor progress, ensure quality control and maintain compliance with all company SOPs, safety regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee performance of the team, including the accuracy and completion of timesheets, job reporting, and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining clear communication between field teams, the warehouse, and management, ensuring resources, equipment and personnel are effectively utilized.
  • Support the Management team with operational planning, staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A strong emphasis is placed on leadership, accountability, efficiency and delivering a high standard of service to clients during critical and often stressful situations.
