Full job description
At Avante Security Inc we are leaders in providing high-end security solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our commitment to excellence and innovation has positioned us as leaders in the industry. From executive protection to state-of-the-art surveillance systems, we deliver comprehensive security solutions that ensure the safety and peace of mind of our clients.
Why Avante?
We’re not just imagining the future of security – we’re creating it. Join us to be part of something truly groundbreaking. We’re a team of dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking professionals who are committed to client-centricity, innovation, and the highest standards of integrity.
About the Role
We are looking for a Control Centre Dispatcher to anchor our state-of-the-art Monitoring & Dispatch Centre; who excels at the intersection of elite customer service and emergency coordination. In this role you are overseeing the profiles of Ontario's most prominent families while actioning Avante Security resources and coordinating our overall response. This isn’t a standard call centre role; it is a high-stakes position requiring technical precision, calm authority, and a commitment to elite client service.
You will be the primary point of contact for our clients, the navigator for our field response teams, and the tactical controller who decides where resources go when seconds count.
As an Control Centre Dispatcher, you will manage alarm intake and dispatch in the Avante Control Centre, ensuring operatives are deployed accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service for service, patrol, and transport inquiries. You will coordinate secure transports for Executive Clients by maintaining confidentiality, monitoring risks, and planning suitable routes. The role also supports field operations by responding to alarms, conducting patrols, providing static coverage, and performing counter-surveillance.
Key Responsibilities
Elite Call Handling: Act as the elite voice of the company, answering inbound calls from clients with a sophisticated, calm, and helpful demeanor. Whether they are reporting a fault or requesting an emergency escort, you provide a tailored, executive experience for our clients.
Email & Inquiry Management: Manage a high-volume operational inbox, responding to client requests for "Vacation Watch," temporary access for contractors, or updates to their emergency contact protocols with professional writing standards.
Client Profile Intelligence: Rapidly search and navigate complex client profiles in our database to verify authorized users, gate codes, and specific "Special Instructions" during active calls.
Dynamic Signal Triage: Instantly analyze incoming signals to prioritize life-safety events (Panic, Fire, Medical) over technical or peripheral alerts. Use "if-then" logic to determine the appropriate response level based on the client's specific profile and the nature of the alarm.
Strategic Resource Deployment: Dispatch Mobile Response Operatives to alarm sites via radio and digital CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems, providing them with intelligence, information and potential property hazards.
Fleet Orchestration: Monitor the real-time GPS tracking location of all patrol units to ensure optimal coverage of our protected zones. The ability to exercise dynamic deployment to meet and sustain the needs of our business and responses to alarm triggers; ensuring we meet our sub-6-minute response guarantee.
Emergency Liaison: Execute immediate "patched" communications to Police, Fire, and EMS via dedicated priority lines, providing accurate data to reduce emergency response times. In high-threat scenarios, maintain a live line with the client to provide "stay-safe" instructions while simultaneously coordinating the response.
What you Bring
Licensing: Valid Ontario Private Security & Investigative Services License. (REQUIRED)
Certifications: Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. (REQUIRED)
Driving Record: Clean Ontario Driver’s Abstract (G License) with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience. Access to a personal vehicle is an asset.
Experience: 1-2 years in a high-volume Monitoring Station, Emergency Dispatch, or Alarm Response Experience (PREFERED). Experience in a Military/Police communications environment would be considered an asset.
Education: Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Criminology, or a related field would be considered an asset.
Professional Competencies: High integrity, reliability, and accountability with an emphasis on strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of alarm monitoring software (e.g., Bold Manitou, SIMS, or MASterMind) as well as Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple radio frequencies, phone lines, and high-speed data streams simultaneously under extreme pressure. Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to communicate effectively with high-profile clients and write detailed, professional reports. Ability to interact with clients and in a courteous and professional manner.
Schedule: Flexibility to work a 12-hour continental rotation including weekends, and holidays. Exceptional vigilance and focus during nighttime hours.
Physical Security Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of alarm systems and emergency response protocols.
Conflict Resolution: Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to deescalate incidents with a focus on conflict resolution by maintaining a calm, compassionate demeanor under pressure.
Aspirations and Growth: Commitment to ongoing training and skill development.
Bonus Points for
The "Triage" Mindset: You can look at 10 simultaneous signals and instantly know which one represents a life-safety threat versus a technical fault.
Spatial Awareness: You can mentally map the Greater Toronto Area (or your specific zone) to optimize patrol routes and coordinate resource deployment to ensure appropriate alarm response times.
Discretion: You will be handling sensitive data regarding some of Canada’s most prominent families. Absolute commitment to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of our high-profile clients.
What We Offer
Industry-Leading Wages: Compensation that reflects the elite nature of the work.
Premium Equipment: Access to a modern fleet of response vehicles and cutting-edge mobile security technology.
Professional Growth: Growth and advancement opportunities within the company as well as hands on training in defensive tactics, conflict resolution, and executive protection.
Team Building and Personal Investment: Avante Security invests in their employees and reinforce teambuilding within the company. We offer Group Health Benefits, Goodlife Gym Membership Discount, Monthly Lunches, On-Site Parking and full-team events.
