Role Summary

The primary responsibility of the Plant Manager is execution of the company’s plant operational strategy. This includes execution and improvement of plant operational processes from order receipt to order delivery. You will also refine, develop and implement reporting to create a deep understanding of process effectiveness.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute the operational strategy collaboratively, always ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Directly lead the plant team, including the following functional areas: production planning, compounding, packaging, warehouse, logistics and maintenance.
  • Monitor performance and establish corrective measures where needed. Prepare detailed reports to reflect current and forecasted key performance indicators.
  • Implement capital projects. Equipment research and analysis.
  • Manage budgets for multiple operational areas
  • Monitor quality throughout the manufacturing and shipping process to ensure quality standards are maintained from start to customer delivery.
  • Lead preventative maintenance programs.
  • Promote a constructive culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, operational excellence, accountability and safety.
  • Maintain effective & collaborative communication throughout all levels of the organization to ensure key performance indicators are set, measured and achieved.
  • Develop and execute on required employee training and seek opportunities for further development. Performance management of team members.
  • Lead by example, that includes being hands-on in the plant whether for training purposes, coaching, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
  • Hiring for plant team members.
  • Responsibility for daily plant start up and shut down. Work hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
  • Additional time may be required as business & role needs dictate.
  • Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Plant Management and Plant Operations, at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of Operations Management processes and practices
  • Expertise in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Experience using modern software for data analysis and reporting
  • Effective communicator with strong collaborative skills

Salary Range - $85,000-$95,000 annually with potential for performance bonus.
