Job Posting: Truck Driver/ Co-Pilot

Location: 5462 Timberlea Blvd., Mississauga ON L4W2T7
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour (40 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Hours: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM (Day, Early Morning, Morning, Overtime)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Truck Driver to join our team in Mississauga, ON. If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service and possess the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Co-Pilot Operations: Ride "shotgun" to assist the primary driver with route planning, navigation, and monitoring blind spots.Plan or adjust routes using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Operate compressor and pumps to pump bulk fluids.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure safe delivery.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Load and unload goods as needed.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport hazardous goods and materials.
  • Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Relay information to central dispatch and maintain accurate records, including cargo information and fuel consumption.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods safely.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Inspect equipment to identify faults, leaks, or mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
  • Repairs & Maintenance: Perform hands-on service, maintenance, and part replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Tool Operation: Safely use a variety of hand tools, chemical dispensing equipment and others.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a fully stocked and organized inventory of tools and parts in the service vehicle.

Requirements

Education:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience:

  • Bulk fluids experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Mechanically inclined with hand tools

Credentials:

  • DZ Class License
  • Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Documentation Knowledge:

  • Bill of lading
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection reports
  • Trip reports

Transportation/Travel Information:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must undergo a driver’s validity license check, driving record check, drug test, and medical exam.
