Full job description

We are a busy litigation-focused paralegal practice seeking a junior paralegal to assist with Small Claims Court litigation and enforcement matters.

This role begins on a part-time basis and is ideal for someone who wants to build practical experience in litigation while working remotely. As the role develops, there is the option to transition to full-time work.

Because this is a remote position, we are looking for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and preparing Small Claims Court documents
  • Assisting with claims, defences, motions, and enforcement proceedings
  • Communicating with clients, debtors, and court offices
  • Managing file updates and maintaining organized records
  • Conducting basic legal and corporate searches
  • Supporting senior paralegals with litigation files

Qualifications

  • Licensed paralegal
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
  • Comfortable handling multiple files and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook and basic office software

Experience with Small Claims Court procedures, collections work, or litigation support is required.
