- Perform reception duties with warmth and professionalism
- Support medical staff with scheduling, paperwork, travel coordination, and medical records
- Organize community health events and support service providers
- Maintain medical office supplies and assist with petty cash and billing
- Help manage software systems and train staff on procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Medical Office Assistant Certificate (required)
- 5+ years in administrative roles, with 2+ in a medical office setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfort using tools like Microsoft Office, OSCAR, and Care Connect
- Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of Indigenous communities and governance
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently under pressure
- First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
- Experience working with Indigenous communities
- Familiarity with health benefits forms, reimbursement, and clinic coordination
Why Join K’ómoks First Nation?
- Be part of a passionate, values-driven team
- Make a tangible difference in the lives of K’ómoks members
- Engage in diverse tasks where every day is different
- Work in a supportive and inclusive workplace culture
- Opportunities for professional growth and cultural learning
