What we are looking for:

Medi-Share Inc is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Adult Cardiac Sonographer to work in our Toronto location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to work independently, and collaboratively with interprofessional teams
• Produce high-quality cardiac diagnostic images that meet or exceed the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
• Produce clear preliminary reports for interpreting physicians, meeting or exceeding the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
• Holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
• Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in order to ensure optimal patient care
• Perform IV insertions for contrast studies (experience an asset, but training will be provided.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
• Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or Sonography Canada
• Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
• Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as they relate to patient care
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
• Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo an asset, but training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a clinic environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$43.00 per hour
