Job Mandate:
We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our network infrastructure. This role is primarily operational, ensuring stability, performance, and security of network services, while also contributing to business projects that require network design and implementation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with firewall and routing technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and a desire to grow into more advanced design and architecture responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations
o MikroTik (routing and switching)
o Cisco networking equipment
o Routing and switching concepts (VLANs, subnets, NAT, ACLs)
o VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
o Cisco CCNA

Network Operations
- Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN)
- Troubleshoot network performance issues, outages, and connectivity problems
- Manage firewall rules, NAT policies, and VPN configurations
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and firmware upgrades
- Support network-related incidents and service requests in line with SLAs
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and procedures
- Participate in network design and implementation for business driven projects
- Assist in planning and deploying new sites, network upgrades, and expansions
- Contribute to firewall and segmentation design based on security requirements
- Support cloud and hybrid connectivity (e.g., VPNs, site-to-site, remote access)
- Work with senior engineers/architects on solution design and validation
- Implement and maintain network security controls and best practices
- Monitor and respond to security-related network events
- Assist with audits, vulnerability remediation, and policy enforcement
- Work closely with infrastructure, systems, and application teams
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on incidents and project progress
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while taking ownership of resolution
- Participate in solution reviews, technical governance, and design validation
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including application development, architecture, business operations, and external vendors/partners.
- Communicate effectively on project status, risks, priorities, and operational concerns.
- 2–3 years of experience in network engineering or network support
- Hands-on experience with:
o MikroTik (routing and switching)
- Basic familiarity with:
o Cisco networking equipment
- Solid understanding of:
o Routing and switching concepts (VLANs, subnets, NAT, ACLs)
o VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Exposure to network design or project implementation work
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Experience with monitoring tools and logging systems
- Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Relevant certifications (or working toward):
o Cisco CCNA
o MikroTik MTCNA Key Competencies
- Strategic and analytical thinking
