Full job description

SkyView Safety Consulting Corp. is hiring one part-time occupational health and safety consultant. The ideal candidate for this consulting position is a quick learner, dependable, works well independently, and is driven to excel. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry in the field of occupational health and safety; as well as OHS education from a post secondary institution and/or their NCSO/HSA.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Developed problem-solving skills
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction
  • Capable of developing and maintaining strong business relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to complete field/site work in hazardous environments, including working at heights (climbing extension ladders, fixed ladders, scaffold stair towers).
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Capable of facilitating group meetings
  • Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Excel and Word

SkyView Safety Consultants provide health and safety support to small and medium sized businesses in Calgary and surrounding area and tasks can include:

  • On-Site Work/Site Inspections
  • Client Support

  • COR/SECOR Preparation
  • Subcontractor Management
  • Training
  • Incident Investigations
  • Documentation Management
  • Injury Claims Management

The field work is mostly in Calgary and surrounding cities/towns. There is the opportunity to work some office hours remotely.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
