About the Role

Joy Cafe and Bistro is seeking a skilled and efficient Barista to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about coffee culture and excels in a fast-paced service environment. This role requires a high level of technical skill and a commitment to maintaining the aesthetic and service standards of our bistro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and cold beverages with consistency and speed.
  • Maintain a spotless workstation and assist with general cleaning tasks to ensure the cafe meets high hygiene standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of strong barista experience is required. Applicants who do not possess this level of experience will be disregarded.
  • Trial Period: A 2 day training and evaluation period will be provided to determine if the candidate is fully qualified and the right fit for the team.
  • Certification: Valid Smart Serve certification.
  • Education: Completion of high school is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Current enrollment in a college or university program is preferred.
  • Strong background in cleaning and organizational maintenance.
