Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Cook to join our breakfast restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with restaurant or kitchen experience to showcase leadership and team management skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during weekend shifts, ensuring smooth operations
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
  • Manage food inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
  • Serve food efficiently to customers, ensuring excellent customer service experience
  • Lead by example in food preparation, cooking, and serving to foster teamwork and high-quality service
  • Assist in training new staff members and provide leadership during busy weekend hours

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant service, breakfast experience is strongly preferred.
  • Supervising or team management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and handling procedures
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy weekend shifts
  • Knowledge of the food industry, hospitality standards, and restaurant operations
  • Demonstrated ability to serve customers professionally and courteously
  • Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork

Hours: Saturday, Sunday 7am to 1pm or 9am to 2:30pm, may have full time hours in the future.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
