Our goal is to boost longevity by identifying and treating illnesses as early as possible while supporting members on their health journey.
Our services combine cutting-edge diagnostic technologies with the latest scientifically validated tests - delivered in a compassionate, comfortable, and patient-focused environment. We are a physician-directed clinic that integrates the principles of functional medicine, preventative care, specialist services, and family medicine into a comprehensive healthcare experience.
Our Care Model

The Opportunity
We're expanding our preventative health services and are looking for a skilled foreign-trained physician with expertise in neurology to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cognitive health, the management of neurodegenerative diseases, and preventative brain health programs — all within a forward-thinking healthcare model that puts patients first.
At Lifespan Medical, our vision is to become Canada's leading integrated preventative healthcare provider. By joining us, you'll contribute to a world-class patient experience while advancing your career in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a foreign-trained physician with recognized training and experience in neurology, cognitive assessment, and the management of neurodegenerative disorders. This position does not require Canadian medical licensure but does require:
- Proven expertise in neurology and preventative brain health
- A passion for patient education and proactive care
- The ability to work closely with and under the supervision of licensed Canadian clinicians
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive assessments including standardized tools such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) to evaluate memory, executive function, and other cognitive domains.
- Support the early detection and monitoring of neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.
- Assist in the development of individualized care plans and preventative strategies for patients at risk of cognitive decline.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations on cognitive health, brain wellness, and risk factor modification.
- Collaborate with licensed physicians and multidisciplinary team members in case discussions and patient debriefs.
- Document findings, prepare structured patient-facing summaries, and contribute to the clinic's Brain Health Program.
- Support quality assurance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives related to cognitive and neurological care.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialty training in Neurology from a recognized institution outside of Canada.
- A minimum of 5–10 years of clinical experience in neurology, including work with cognitive assessments and neurodegenerative conditions.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing Parkinson's disease, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.
- Familiarity with MRI and other diagnostic tools used for diagnosing neurodegenerative diseases.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, patient-centered care.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to prepare structured reports and patient summaries.
- Proficiency with clinical software, neurocognitive assessment tools, and electronic medical records is an asset.
- This role does not require licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- This is a non-diagnostic role; responsibilities are focused on data aggregation and interpretation under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
- Future opportunities for expanded roles or advancement may be available based on clinic growth and performance.
