Stevested Machinery Engineering Ltd. has a long-standing history of over 55 years in the Machining business and is currently focusing on the next phase with a brand-new facility located in Campbell Heights North, Surrey, BC with exciting new challenges that are moving our company into the future. We are a leading manufacturer of Aerospace, Biomedical, Transportation and Oil/Gas components. We hold ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Quality Certification. The Role:

Responsible for working with the Quality Assurance, Planning, and Production departments in a dynamic environment. Performs Quality Control inspections using Hexagon CMM's and various hand tools to ensure quality levels at various stages of production. PC-DMIS experience is a must.

Is this the right fit for YOU:

  • 4+ years experience operating a CMM machine. PC-DMIS inspection software a must.
  • 1+ years of direct work experience with QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards
  • Day Shift Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00pm
  • Experience and direct knowledge in: QA methodologies, Blueprint interpretation & geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, Standard measuring/inspection equipment using hand-measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform first-off, in-process and final inspection on high precision parts, working tolerance within +/- 0.001” & +/- 0.005mm
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Prepare and analyze CMM reports
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new software programs
  • Ability to monitor and execute multiple tasks in parallel
  • Good communication skills to include written/oral English and works well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work well independently and with supervision
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, and high production pressure
  • Must be able to obtain Controlled Goods Clearance
  • Must have reliable transportation - NO access to public transit
