Job Details:

  • Administrative Assistant for the Director of Mine Technical Department
  • Full time position
  • Health and dental benefits.
  • Bussing from Fort McMurray (priority given to local Fort McMurray resident).
  • Flights covered from Edmonton or Calgary- camp accommodations
  • 4 Days on, 3 Days off, 10 hour days.
  • Monday to Thursday.

Job Roles

  • Working hand in hand with the department director
  • Booking travel and camp accommodations for the whole department
  • Maintain accurate tracking of all safety documents and safety programs
  • Compile monthly costing reports
  • Weekly auditing of various reports throughout the department
  • Looking after expense reports for various managers
  • help out other departments for vacation coverage
  • Ensuring payroll is accurate as well as tracking vacation and sick time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to build charts and presentations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire for 100% accuracy
  • Experience with OTL payroll processing is a bonus
  • Data entry experience.
  • Experience in one on one, group interactions, and presentation.
  • Overall support for Management Team.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Solid organization and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently but with good judgement to seek support and guidance when appropriate.
  • The ability to work well with a wide variety of people including office, field staff, diverse cultures and various work experience levels.
  • Be a team player.
  • Must bring a great attitude and desire to learn.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
