Bike Assembler

Canadian Tire Lethbridge north location is currently hiring an experienced bike assembler. The bike assembler builds new bikes to be sold on the retail floor as well as performing bicycle maintenance and tune-ups for customers.

Responsibilities and Tasks

· Assemble new bikes, following quality and safety standards.

· Repair and perform tune-ups on customer bicycles.

· Provide customers with friendly and informed service.

· Respond to and handle customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.

· Comply with company, store and department policies.

· Follow store health & safety program and report any observed or potential hazards immediately.

· Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming and name tag).

· Complete other tasks as required.

Requirements and Competencies

· Ability to consistently provide professional customer service, including in situations of conflicts.

· Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic.

· Experience in bike assembly.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

In compliance with the store’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures:

· Stand/walk for 8 hours.

· Lift and/or carry of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise item may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy”.

· Lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift.

· Lift above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist.

· Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise.

· Walk and carry things at the same time and push/pull, as required.

· Twist, turn, reach and work above shoulder level.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
