Material Handler

Adecco is hiring Material Handlers in Ajax! Our client is recognized as one of the world's leading logistics providers. This is a short-term assignment for up to two months. In this role you will be responsible for Loading and unloading products for customer orders. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs with previous RF scanner experience. • Shifts Available: Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm | training 8:00am - 4:30pm

General Labour Job Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading products
  
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
  
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code
  
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
  
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
  
• Marks materials with identifying information
  
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers
  
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards
  
• Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
  
• Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer
  
• Prepares parcels for mailing
  
• Cleans warehouse area and other duties as required and assigned
  

General Labour Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience is preferred
  
• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  
• Read fine labels and barcodes, must have attention to detail
  
• Required to stand, walk, kneel, throughout shift
  
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
  
• RF gun experience preferred
