Full job description

Founded in 1916, the PCB Global Trade Management group has been providing premium services for over 110 years. Our customs brokerage division, Pacific Customs Brokers, is now one of the leading privately-owned brokerage houses in Western Canada.

We routinely hire staff with no customs brokerage experience and fully train them to be Customs Administrative Assistants. With further experience, training and education (fully paid by the company), those staff can one day become licensed Customs Brokers.

Our Customs Associates assist with answering client inquiries, reviewing shipment documentation, performing data entry for customs declarations, or organizing files.

We are looking for:

  • Must have reliable transportation as our office is not transit accessible (we are near the intersection of 176th Street and 1 Ave in South Surrey)
  • We operate 24/7, so must be available seven days a week for morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts. Schedules are assigned, but are set for ~4 weeks in advance so you will always know what you're working
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Administrative experience (i.e., filing, scanning, data entry) and direct customs experience are strong assets. Kindly note that while valuable, logistics or warehousing experience is not considered customs experience
  • Ability to complete physical tasks such as sitting, bending, and crouching
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a professional level
  • Must be in Canada and have the right to work at the time of application. Applications from outside Canada will not be considered. PNP/Express Entry will not be considered. Foreign placement agencies need not contact. No exceptions will be made.

We Offer:

  • Starting wage of $22.00 CAD/hr + shift premiums (i.e. additional $1.50 per hour for any hours worked between 6 pm and 11 pm and additional $2.50 for any hours worked between 11 pm and 5 am)
  • Full-time employment (37.5 hours/week)
  • Fully paid Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for employees and their families after three months
  • Bonus plan
  • A Pension Plan
  • Education Support
  • Free Fitness Centre and instructor
  • Growth and Development Opportunities
  • Discounted meals at our onsite restaurant
  • Free parking
  • and more!

Submit your resume and cover letter via Indeed or directly on our website.
