Full job description

Infant and Toddler Educator (BC Licensed)

Tiny Hoppers Queensborough opened its door in April 2021 and we are looking for experience and passionate educators with a valid BC license to join our infant (1-2 years old) classroom.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement educational experiences that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Knowledge of emergent curriculum
  • Good understanding on children development
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
  • Following policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and staff.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid BC Infant & Toddler Educator License
  • Must have valid first aid certificate
  • Must have a valid Criminal Record Check
  • Have a strong understanding of child development and behavior
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and strong ability to multi-task

Competitive benefits offered for employees after successful completion of their probation period. Salary rate will be based on experience and hourly rate listed has already included the wage enhancement.
