ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a high-performing Account Manager to join a fast-growing consulting firm that helps Canadian businesses access government grants and scale faster.

This is not a traditional account management role.

It is a hybrid growth role where you will own relationships, identify funding opportunities, and actively drive revenue through both client expansion and new business development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business clients while also actively contributing to new client acquisition.

Core responsibilities include:

1. Client Growth & Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of clients through the full lifecycle: onboarding, strategy, execution, and renewal
  • Build strong relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers
  • Identify grant opportunities aligned to client growth plans
  • Proactively uncover new funding opportunities through regular client engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients make strategic decisions about training, hiring, and expansion

2. Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Actively generate new business through outreach, referrals, and networking
  • Conduct outbound prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn, events)
  • Convert qualified leads into long-term clients
  • Meet and exceed measurable targets for new client acquisition and revenue growth

3. Grant Strategy & Execution

  • Translate business needs into successful grant applications
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to build high-quality submissions
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy across all documentation
  • Monitor application progress and manage timelines with clients

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for someone who is:

  • 3+ years experience in B2B sales, account management, consulting, or business development
  • Relevant degree in or exposure to industries such as construction, natural resources, defence, manufacturing, or technology
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and client acquisition (this is essential)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and results-driven
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Interested in helping businesses grow through funding and strategy

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in consulting, professional services, SaaS, or financial services
  • Familiarity with government grants or funding programs
