We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer service within the food industry.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change efficiently
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
  • Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels at the counter
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation and food service operations
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Strong cashiering skills including cash handling and basic math abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment with good time management skills
  • Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively
  • Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus for understanding workflow and hygiene standards
